This Travertine Tile in scottsdale was very abused and the prior homeowner had put a topical sealer on it which is one of the worst things you can put on a travertine floor. We came in and stripped the coating off the travertine tile, cleaned it with our state of the art trucmounted power washing system. After getting a fresh surface to work with with started the travertine honing to one remove any remaining sealer in the stone and two too prep the surface for the polishing, we then polished the tile with a polishing powder to bring a deep rich shine to the travertine floor on a natural level. The last step is to seal the floor with our hybrid solvent sealer, this will ensure no stains or discoloration in the future.
This job was a good job, the prior owner unfortunately allowed a contractor to apply a topical sealer to the floor and again that is the worst way to achieve a shine on a travertine floor. We stated with stripping the coating off and honing the floor to make sure we removed all the wax, we then followed it up with our polishing process to bring the shine back on a natural level. After the polishing we flood the floor with our sealer to ensure the travertine was properly sealed for years to come
This Marble countertop was in rough shape, it was very dull and beaten up, we first cleaned the marble countertop to remove dirt and debris. We then started the restoration process with our disc honing, we started with a 100 grit and moved up to a 1600. After the marble honing we polished the marble with a marble polishing paste to increase the density and bring the shine out. The final step is to seal the marble with a high quality sealer to keep the surface from staining and etching.
In Scottsdale Az, this travertine floor was in need of a good travertine restoration and we provided that with a great travertine cleaning and sealing. We started with a good travertine cleaning with our rotary scrubber to break up all the dirt and debris, then we power washed the travertine tile with our SX-15. The final step again is to seal the travertine floor really well with our hybrid solvent sealer protecting it from future staining and discoloration.
